An engineer of the highest caliber who works for a certain organization. His brain is overflowing with knowledge and reasoning regarding technology… However, when it comes to certain subjects, his sense of reason goes right out of the window. He is fast and extremely precise when it comes to work itself.
Translator’s Notes:
- Eight’s spoken audio actually says more than what is written in the text on occasion. Green text indicates the extra spoken dialogue.
- Eight’s codename is originally pronounced “hachi” in Japanese, the native Japanese term for “eight”. The joke is that many of his colleagues, Zero included, have their codenames pronounced in English (which is a good thing, because the native Japanese pronunciation of “zero” would be “rei”…). In the original, Eight often complains that he wants his codename to be pronounced in English, because it’s cooler and less “cute”, while others intentionally make it cuter by nicknaming him “Hac-chan”, to rile him up. We localized this naming-wish of his as “Zero-Eight” as a minor reference to spy-movies. The original joke, sadly, would not work in English.
